Thanks to audrey we had two of the best Ceilidhs ever in Bowes Park. Real fun and happiness in the hall. I remember our walks and more so our chats. She was such an easy person to talk to, wise and sensitive and non-judgemental. I miss them. Graham remembers the bike rides, often with Audrey in the lead, especially when she sped ahead to beat the lights. I too remember her dislike of " hanging around" and I soon learned to step back and not follow when she crossed the road !

I warmed to Aud the first time I met her. She was so interested in everybody and made me feel like a special friend even though I hadn't known her for very long. She was curious about new things and would try anything - and her cooking was amazing - she could conjure up a fantastic meal out of anything !

Aud may have been one of a large family, but she seemed like a one off. She was so straightforward - what you saw you got. We loved her for this, and her decency and of course her humour. She knew what she believed in and was such a special individual. We loved her boldness, immense courage and her resourcefulness. Of course she was also the best read woman in North London ! Aud was a truly amazing lady. We will not forget her but we will miss her deeply.
